Mr. & Mrs. Kennedy

Sarah & Whitner tied the knot this past weekend and I think it's safe to say that all of our friends were sad to see the weekend end. We are always excited about a "Wofford Wedding" but this one took the cake as there was another wedding (that couple got married in Old Main, congrats Katie & Garrett!), and Wofford Summer Orientation was also scheduled for the same weekend. Needless to say, I don't think that the Spartanburg Marriott was ready for the Wofford convention that hit it.

The rehearsal dinner Friday night was at a fairly new venue for Sparkle City and we all enjoyed the relaxed, cocktail party style atmosphere as we heard some sweet words about the bride & groom before their big day. Sadly, I really slacked off in the picture taking department last night so thank goodness for Facebook!

Saturday we relaxed by the pool and even enjoyed some time with Sarah before she set off to get ready. Before we knew it we were off to the church for the ceremony and then to the Piedmont Club for the awesome reception. "Heart to Heart" was a band that we all enjoyed while we were at Wofford and it was perfectly fitting that they helped us celebrate the Kennedys!

Dance & Dance Some More

People told us that our wedding day would feel like a blur and be over before we know it. And while the day does go by quickly, if that is what a "blur" feels like then it was a perfectly happy, fun feeling that we were honored to share with our guests.

Our wedding cake. The double strand of "pearls" at the bottom was to mimic the bracelet that I wore on our wedding day while the triple dot pattern on the cake tiers themselves mimic my mothers earrings which I also wore

We had three cutting boards in the shapes of Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee which we asked our guests to sign. These are now hanging in our kitchen and are so fun to look at!

Saying "I Do" & Us

As 5:30 neared, Laura, Rebecca, and I moved to the bride's room while the rest of the bridesmaids waited in the balcony and our parents greeted our guests as they began to arrive. After hours of not speaking on our wedding day and moving around the church grounds for photos while trying to avoid catching a glimpse of each other before the ceremony, I was beyond excited about the fact that Blair and I were finally in the same building and would be seeing each other soon.

And we're off!
I was so excited to reach the front of the church and see Blair. It was important to me to focus on Blair and each word that was read and spoken during our ceremony and try to really soak everything in as best I could.

The ceremony was perfect and just as Blair and I imagined it. We had a few moments to ourselves afterward and then headed back onto the lawn to greet our family and bridal party. After a few groups and some family photos, Angie got some pictures of Blair and I and then we were headed to Ansley to join our guests for the reception!
